Update for Katie Graber

So, here is my update!

Seth and I moved to Kansas City almost a year ago. We've been living in Independence, but we are wanting to move downtown into a loft. We are still waiting for a loft to open up. It's kindof hard finding a loft downtown that is for rent and not to buy and that also allows dogs. We have a very sweet dog, Molly. She is part Black Lab and part Spaniel, we think. We got her from the pound in Marshall, MO. She is shy but very sweet.

Here's a pic of Molly. In Kirksville, a pet store put on a dog Easter egg hunt. Molly has a dog brownie in her mouth! It was really funny.



Seth works at State Street, a financial company in downtown KC. I work at a coffee shop and teach creative writing to 3 homeschooled girls. We are planning a trip to Hawaii March 5-12 to visit a couple of friends. We have to move out the middle of March, so the whole timing of everything will be interesting.

Seth has been making homemade beer, which he is really enjoying. I don't like beer, but other people have said that it is really good. He also started his grad classes last week. He is getting his MBA.

I am involved in a writing group and we actually just published a book of writings. We are getting an ISBN, so you should be able to order it from Amazon soon, hopefully! It was a really good experience. I hope to write more in the future. I am also working on my photography. Hopefully, I can post some pics of stuff I'm working on.

We are really enjoying KC! We have been able to see the Dead Sea Scrolls, the circus, Blue Man Group, etc... That has been very cool! We're still close to my mom and dad, Jacob is living downtown and working at State Street and we are close to Seth's family and I've been getting to know them better!

Introduction

Hello everyone! I was reading a friend's blog and she was talking about how we live in a transient society and families are not connected like they used to be. I realized how true that was and how I don't really know what is going on in my extended family's life. I wanted a way to know and to also let people know what is going on with my life. So, here is my attempt at bridging the gap.

The purpose of this blog is for everyone to be able to post what is happening in their life. You have the ability to add pictures and even video to this blog. If you are going through a struggle and want to share, please do! If you went on a great trip and want to share some pics, please do! If you want to share a great recipe or book/movie suggestion, please do!
